Miami Dolphins Cult Hero

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Greg Camarillo, here with the Minnesota Vikings, is one of 15 players nominated as the Dolphins' cult hero.

SB Nation posed an interesting question to the NFL blogs recently, and we discussed it in depth on last night's podcast. Basically, the goal is to find the Miami Dolphins player who best fits the definition of a cult hero.

It's a simple idea. Who is the player who we as a fan base irrationally love, no matter what? It can't be someone like Dan Marino or Larry Csonka. We are looking for that middle tiered player who we all love.

During the podcast, we posed that question, taking answers from the live thread for the show, as well as from Twitter. While the answers bounced all over the place, and some had to be ruled out because the player was too... mainstream?...for the question. That included players like Reggie Bush and Jake Long.

Eventually, we narrowed the list down to fifteen players. But, now, it's up to you. Who should I tell SB Nation is the Dolphins' cult hero player? Vote in the poll below the jump and feel free to comment on why you voted for whomever you voted for, or add in someone we left out.
