The wife and I attended the Dolphins opener @ Reliant stadium. Even though I developed Bells Palsy (not sure what this is go google it) three days before the game and it was very difficult to see the game we made the effort. We had great seats on the 28 yard line behind the Dolphins bench. I just had the opportunity to watch the game on my DVR.
The positives are that I love the up tempo offense. Once the points come, it will be fun again to watch the Dolphins. I hate that poor Ryan has no capable receivers to go to on the outside. I hate that we still can't cover a tight end or a #1 receiver when needed. Why oh why could we not clean house when Philbin came and Sparano left, so should have Ireland gone as well. Lots of wasted draft picks if he is here next April. I hope my optimism is not misplaced. Boss Ross please listen to the fan base and realize that JI has no clue. Not sure what the idea was to let BM leave with no plan for 2012? If he was that much of a problem, we could have at least gotten something real in return. Draft picks of two 3's for JI, is like a hand full of water to a thirsty man. It looks good, but won't do the job.
The people of Houston at the game were very, very nice to us before and after the game. We are Dolphins fans that travel a great deal. We have been to KC, Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, and now Houston. (Not counting our season tickets to Miami) This has been the best location with KC being second.
The tailgating here is just crazy awesome. These people are serious and the stadium has it right. Boss Ross could learn something from these people.
I didn't know just 10 seats down from me was Kevin Nogle. My wife introduced herself, but he didn't say who he was with his son and the sign about his first game. Sure wish I could have had the experience after the game that he had.
