The Miami Dolphins lost to the Houston Texans 30-10 on Sunday. While the score, and the stat lines, looked ugly for Miami, the game really was not as bad as it seemed. There were some positives to take out of the performance of the team as a whole, and there were some good individual performances as well.
We are going to do the game ball posts a little differently this year. Instead of me just naming someone as the best player from the game, I will nominate between three and five players each week for the recognition. It will then be up to you to vote for who you think should win. Tomorrow I will post the winner of the poll.
The nominees for Week 1 are:
- Reggie Bush - 14 carries, 69 yards (4.9 yards per carry), 6 receptions, 46 yards
- Marcus Thigpen - 2 punt returns, 76 yards (38.0 average return), 1 touchdown, 5 kickoff returns, 137 yards (27.4 yards per return)
- Koa Misi - 11 tackles, 1 tackle for loss
- Randy Starks - 6 tackles, 2 sacks
Vote in the poll below, and feel free to comment on if you think I forgot someone, or if you want to explain why you voted the way you did.
