My Expert Opinion.... After attending one scrimmage. Tannehill throws the prettiest ball, Matt Moore throws the ugliest (yes worse than Devlin). David Garrard is Chad Pennington reincarnated. Would want him to be the starter if we had an elite running game. But yea, our running game looked BAD. Think part of it has to do with how big our first and second team dline is. Daniel Thomas is still Daniel Thomas. Failed repeatedly in Goalline drills. I really like the running back from the CFL, Thigpen. Would prefer him over Steve Slaton. Chad Johnson is still an exciting playmaker. Can really make DBs look foolish. Nannee is STRONG. Fights for the catch. Looks like a BEAST in traffic. The rookie receivers (Cunningham, Matthews, Fuller), can't seem to create any separation. Cunningham looked the best today, but not by much. Roberto Wallace doesn't seem to be the Go-To target you would expect with his physical talents. Maybe just had a bad day. Jonathan Martin couldn't handle Wake, but then again who can? Second team oline is ridiculously bad. Hopefully our first team line can stay healthy this season. Defense looks good. Sean Smith is a BIG MAN. Karlos Dansby and Burnett look in midseason form. Misi looks to be adjusting well, diagnosed a screen pass and made the receiver pay. Reshad Jones is ready. Looks like the playmaker we've been missing back there. Dropped another int tho. That's pretty much the major impressions I had from seeing the scrimmage. Also for those who do not live in Miami, and wonder why the Finz had under 9000 fans at the scrimmage while other teams have 20K+ its a variety of reasons. First, Dolphin stadium is not close for everyone who lives in "Miami". Its a big city like Los Angeles, its built outwards instead of upwards like NYC and Chi-town. The obvious reasons factor in as well, many things going on, many places to be, things to see. The weather right now is also ridiculous. Insanely hot with high chance of violent thunderstorms. And the team has been bad for a while lol.Questions welcome if I missed somebody you wanted to hear about.
