The David Garrard Saga: Recent knee surgery will sideline Miami's QB. I'm as confused as you must feel right now; reports are still surfacing but according to Pro Football Weekly, Garrard has work done to his knee as early as yesterday. Info on our starting QB will be updated here, but one thing's for sure... expect to see alot more of Moore, Tannehill & Devlin tonight. As of now, I'm more shocked to warrant any sort of response, this news comes hours before Miami's first preseason game. UPDATE: 4:48EST The report has surfaced from Sean Jensen from the Chicago Sun Times. Rotoworld has just confirmed this adding this: Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun Times reports that David Garrard recently underwent knee surgery. Per Jensen, the surgery sounds "minor," but it opens the door for incumbent Matt Moore and rookie Ryan Tannehill to make serious runs at the Week 1 starting quarterback job. Though Garrard had been the favorite in Miami, we suspect the injury setback will expedite Tannehill's move up the depth chart, assuming he continues to show poise and throws the football accurately in preseason games. WOW.
