I'm going out on a very short limb and voice my opinion as to why I believe the 2012 Dolphin team will surprise the so called NFL experts and fans alike - aside from the obvious qb situation shaping up to be great for this team and other players who seem to have "the eye of the tiger" my reasons are as follows:

First and foremost it has always been my opinion hiring Joe Philbin was a sound decision, even over Fischer. IMO this coach and his staff will get the most out of their players and as stated by several the players will "run through a wall" for him. I believe he will be voted the top rookie coach at season end.

Second - the defense is shaping up to be a top tier NFL defense and with the new defensive schemes I believe they will be awesome. -Third - the offense has filled in some very critical holes but we will not know if they work out till preseason but - a big but - this offense in practice is playing against a potentially great defense - what better way to ready your offense than working with the defensive packages thrown at them so by default this should make our offense better all around. IMO after reading all comments on phinsider - NFL.com and other sites this is my conclusion. Am I jumping the guy? Maybe but the intangibles can not be ignored up to this point.

The ancillary benefits derived by rookies and vets alike are too numerous to mention
