If You Could Change One Thing in the NFL, It Would Be...

You have the power to change one thing about the NFL. What would it be?

If you had the power to change any one thing in the NFL, what would it be? Would you change the size of the field? Or the number of players on the field? Would you look to change the excessive celebration rule? Or bring back the ability for defenders to check receivers beyond five yards?

The guys over at Advanced NFL Stats came up with a list of 17 items they would consider changing. Granted, this list came out after the 2010 season, but it's still applicable now.

included in their ideas are things like a penalty box on the sidelines, reducing field goals to 2-points, getting rid of the extra point or make the person who scores the touchdown kick the extra point, adding the "Rouge" from the CFL (watch the video and see if you can follow the action), getting rid of the roster limit and letting the team pick how many players they carry - both minimum and maximum, while maintaining the salary floor and cap, official scorers, and changing to the NCAA one-foot in bounds rule.

Do you like those ideas, or do you have something else in mind.

You have the power to change any one thing in the NFL. Let's hear your ideas.

[To be fair, I stole this topic from Mile High Report when I was doing the Around SB Nation post earlier today.]
