Not Phins related, but I know I am not alone on this. A voice of a generation gone because of cancer. Way too young. I met him a couple of times when I was in college, and even beyond. I even hung out with his sister in law a bit. Was always a bit reserved, but i admired his commitments to his spiritual life and the causes he supported. And of course, everyone my age grew up on his music and the image he and the beastie boys built. Sympathies to your family, to your wife Dechen, and to all of your friends.
