JAKE LONG - Left tackle
Richie Incognito- Left guard
Mike Pouncey- Center
Lydon Murtha- Right guard
Jonathan Martin- Right tackle
My opinion: Ill start off by saying that whoever is playing QB has the luxury of having his blinde side protected by the best left tackle in football. Jake Long is elite and there is not a lot more to say other then that.
Mike Pouncey is another great center and will be a pro bowler year in and year out for a long time. Reminds me of the way Nick Mangold came into the league and just played great (even though he was a Jet).
Rookie Jonathan Martin is going to start right away and should excel at right tackle. He protected Luck's blind side at left tackle during his time at Stanford and did a great job. Him not being strong enough is nonsense and I feel we are getting a smart and long time starter with pro bowl potential. Even though he is not familiar with right tackle, it is a much easier position to play and he will have no trouble!
The reason i made this write up is because of our GUARDS... you know the guys who are the problem with this line right?
WRONG! I believe they will move versatile Murtha inside to right guard and he will flourish. He has untapped potential that has been hidden because of injuries! He can move fast and supposedly we are looking for a pulling and powerful guard. Did anyone check out the arm sleeve tattoo he has these days? This guy and Richie Incognito are going to be nasty at guard and i believe we will have one of the few ELITE OFFENSIVE LINES in all of football.
These guys are going to clear the path and make giant holes for our running backs and give our QB's time to make great decisions! Our great athletic and nasty line will make all of our skilled guys so much better.
