A lot of you guys really like Kirk Cousins in the 2nd round, so I decided to watch some tape on him, and I was mildly impressed. Here are some of my scouting notes. 1. Played in a spread offense with a lot of screens 2. Lacks velocity on screens and short passes 3. Good accuracy, but occassionally overthrows 4. Good under pressure, gets the ball out before getting hit 5. Rarely went deep 6. Occassionally had a way out there errant pass 7. Great throwing motion and mechanice 8. Occassionally misreads the offense, and fails to go through all progressions, leading to picks 9. A little hesitant on the short pass 10. Deceptive mobility, not the most athletic, but can scramble if needed, no designated QB runs though 11. Excels passing to the sideline 12. Decent footwork, could use some help 13. Good ball placement on short to mid passes, but poor placement on the few deep passes. 14. Played well with a weak O-line.
