2012 NFL Draft: Family Ties

Stanford and soon to be Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is only one of the draft prospects with family ties to the NFL.

Every time a player comes into the league, there is talk about his "pedigree" and the family line from which he comes. Peyton Manning and Eli Manning obviously have father Archie Manning. There's the Matthews dynasty that seems to put everyone into the league. There's wide receiver Mark Ingram and running back Mark Ingram, Jr. This year, we all know Andrew Luck's father Oliver Luck was an NFL quarterback. But, are there other family bloodlines running through this year's draft prospects?

Of course there are. And, the NFL recently released a list of all those players who have had family members play in the league, as well as any players who has family members who excelled in other sports. It includes guys like Penn State's Devon Still, who has had two cousins play in the NFL, including Art Still, who was an All Pro defensive end. There's also Matt Kalil, whose brother, Ryan, was an All American at USC, and is now the starting center for the Carolina Panthers. Kalil's father, Frank, was also drafted into the NFL, but chose to play for two years in the USFL.

The entire release is below:
