I got thinking tonight about Tannehill and his future career as an NFL quarterback. I really am torn. Do we draft BPA and go for Wilson next year? Or do we grab Tannehill? Then I decided to look at Tannehill's supporting cast. The only worthy offensive player other than Tannehill in this draft for Texas A&M is Jeff Fuller and Cyrus Gray; mid-round to late-round draft picks. I can't tell you how many balls his receivers dropped. What about the other quarterbacks? Weeden had Blackmon, a top first round talent. Griffin had Kendall Wright, another first round talent. Andrew Luck had Fleener, De Castro and Martin, all first round talents. Tyler Wilson last year had Greg Childs, Jarius Wright and Joe Adams as his wide receivers. All should be taken before the 5th round this year. My point is, was Tannehill hindered by the talent around him last year? Can he get better with superior talent? Are some of his flaws, like his perceived lack of accuracy, down to his lack of weapons last year? Discuss.
