I'm not gonna lie. I'm not on the ledge like some of you folks are. I think we have a good basic core of players on Defense and some real talent on offense including Matt Moore. I thnk we may have something here. Let's play pretend.
Look at the stat lines for 4 QBs.
1. 4077 Yards 63.2% Completion 21 TDS and 14 INTS
2. 3398 Yards 58.1% Completion 20 TDS and 13 INTS
3. 3250 Yards 60.5% Completion 21 TDS and 12 INTS
4. 3610 Yards 57.6% Completion 20 TDS and 12 INTS
I'll reveal who these are after the jump.
1. Ben Rapeisberger (I had to do it)
2. Andy Dalton
3. Matt Moore (annualized stats across 16 starts)
4. Joe Flacco
So Matt Moore's stat lines are ok. Add in a deep threat receiver and I think you'll see the yards increase dramatically. Also I think that there is some legitimacy in the Brandon Marshall TD drops that would have increased the # of TDS.
So he's not terrible. He's something to work with especially if we get some WR help and maybe shore up the O-line through the draft. Lot's of WR available this year.
So let's all take a deep breath and be thankful for what we have. We don't have to see Henne back there anymore. So that's something and Brandon Marshall probably won't either get stabbed or punch anyone that will affect us. If we get a good TE in FA or the draft this could be an exciting team. Plus I think Philbin is able to coach guys up a lot. Long should be healthy and our defense is pretty good.
All in all a lot to be excited about.
