The NFL and many of its players and former players have dubbed the Dolphins the laughing stock of the NFL. Fans have shown up to protest, and they all have one constant in common..... All fingers have been pointing towards the GM Jeff Ireland fans have gone have done as far as to pay for an airplane that drags a banner reading " MR.ROSS: FIRE IRELAND, SAVE OUR DOLPHINS.
Jeff Ireland has done a pretty good job finding us solid players whether it was through the draft or, free agency. Ireland brought us Dansby, Burnett, Bush, and a few players we will never forget that cashed in with great contracts and the performances at the level of Pee Wee football players. Everyone that was drafted by our GM in the 2011 has seen the field and have contributed, and shown promise, one noteworthy acquisition being Reggie bush. Who knew Bush would eclipse the 1,000 yard mark on the season with a 5.0 yard per carry average, when he started of the season terribly by fumbling, and having a below 4.0avg ypc.
Fans have overlooked one of the most important factors which many have been blind to or failed to see our new head coach who came in with his own philosophy, and plans for our future. There have been cries Ireland didn’t do anything through free agency, as our head coach has come from a team which builds from the draft, and doesn’t like to deal with headaches in the form of Brandon Marshall who can and will undermine his authority with every given chance. People whined for us not to trade for Marshall, and those same people whined when Marshall left.
This year is the year Ireland must show that he can find a quarterback through the draft, who's to say he's promised next year to find said quarterback? With the 8th pick of this year’s draft the Dolphins should take Ryan Tannehill! Before you people proceed to cry and bash this selection take a look at the potential he brings to the table, and the fact that Philbin, and Sherman will groom him. He possesses all the physical traits you want in your quarterback, smart, athletic, mobile, along the ability to adjust and be a leader on the field.
How is Tannehill smart? He recognizes coverage’s; some will say he doesn’t because he has thrown some very questionable interceptions, but take in to consideration that he has played the wide receiver position for two years before moving back to Quarterback which also shows his athleticism. Tannehill knew where to sit, and when certain areas would be open, with limited receptions he made the most of every catch maximizing his potential. This valuable experience, coupled with the experience at quarterback will no doubt help him with his future as a NFL Quarterback, he will know when to hit receivers, which defender is going where and will find the wholes vacated in the secondary allowing him to anticipate his throws.

Griffin and Tannehill are the two best prospects in the draft, behind Luck. Luck has made the best of the situations he was put in along with his athletic ability. Room for growth is still available for Tannehill and Griffin, while Luck will undoubtedly plateau by the time he reaches his third season in the league. I would compare him to Marino but that will not suit him, many have says he’s similar to Tebow because he is an able runner. Phillip Rivers is the closest comparison we can pin to Tannehill because of his overall playing style all the way down to his throwing motion, if you watch his tape you’ll see what I’m saying. Question here is would you rather have Phillip Rivers or a Mark Sanchez at the helm
