People are wondering why they released Bell now and here is what just popped in my head: Either we are really close to signing Alex Smith and had to free up some more cap space and/or planning a move for either Mark Anderson or Kamerion Wimbley. One thing for certain, though, is that they think Kevin Coyle, who got the best out of GIBRIL WILSON and CHRIS CROCKER, can do the same with Reshad Jones, Chris Clemons, and Richard Marshall at safety. That's the only possible reason I have for not picking up a safety, unless they plan to draft one like Harrison Smith or a mid-round prospect.
