I am 14 years old, and I have been a fins fan since I was 4, and everyone around this website is just giving up. Despite what people think, a QB is NOT everything in this game, lets just look at a few of the teams who made the playoffs last year without a QB: Denver Broncos- they made it with a FB at the QB position, SF 49ers- this is controversial, but is Alex Smith a dynamic QB, not yet, Baltimore Ravens- Flacco has a combination of luck and a great defense, Houston Texans- TJ Yates? really? the thing that sets these teams equal to the great QB teams is the defense, and we can all say the we have a pretty good one.

Another thing is that Matt Moore showed steady improvement last year finishing 6-3 including close losses against a hot cowboys team, and a hot patriots team. If you put 6-3 over a 16 game period, that's 11-5, who would be disappointed with an 11-5 season? And that is if he stops improving and stays where he's at, not to mention Philbin knows how to develop QB's. I say we use the rest of FA and the draft to 1. patch the holes in our defense 2. get a little more O-line depth and 3. give Moore weapons (I personally like Alshawn Jeffery, and Tommy Streeter at WR, Dwayne Allen, Orson Charles, and Coby Fleener at TE). If we do these things I can guarantee that were at least a 9-7 team next year. In the end did Moore's last 9 impress you? Because just look what QB's we passed on or passes on us: Peyton Manning- Broken QB with uncertainties that he can even play at a high level again who signed for 19 million a year!!!! Matt Flynn- a QB with 2 games under his belt that his former OC didn't think he was worth 6 million a year.Alex Smith- I actually like him, and would love to see him in Miami (although its unlikely) 8 million a year gets you a QB with past success and he is a former 1st overall pick, plus he never really had a chance to flourish, and when you finally give him a good HC (Harbaugh) and he improves substantially, it's magic? I think not.

I'm okay with disagreements as long as they aren't ignorantly stated, just give me examples on why you disagree, I know you were watching those last 9 games, and I know you loved us spoiling the Jets chances at the playoffs.
