After two-and-a-half months of speculation that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Matt Flynn would follow his former offensive coordinator, Joe Philbin, to the Miami Dolphins, the free agent quarterback on Sunday afternoon agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $26 million contract with $10 million guaranteed.
The decision came just one day after Flynn arrived in Miami to meet with the Dolphins. Flynn previously met with the Seahawks on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
News of Flynn's signing followed shortly after reports came out that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith was in Miami to meet with the Dolphins. The 49ers are currently big-time players in the battle to obtain the services of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
