yeah pretty much
And I’m still standing pat, saying I hope we sign Peyton. Imagine the chip on his shoulder with Eli winning his 2nd SB ring plus wanting to prove Indy wrong? Man even if he’s 80% come September, we seriously can do some big time damage.
NO MORE BACKUPS!!

And he can face Brady 2x a year?
who thinks we sweep NE if we have Manning on our current team?
We had [Brady] down… but we didn’t kick him. We helped him up and gave him a PowerPuff Girls band-aid for his knee. What exactly did you expect would happen when we did that?

OK .... so last year we lost 38-24
in a shoot out between Tom Brady and chad freaking henne(name does not warrant being capitalized). Is Manning enough better than henne to hang with Brady and hand him a loss? I believe he is … even at 50%. Our 2nd game we lost 27-24 with Matt Moore. Is Manning good enough that we add another TD to our score in that game and win? I think he is. And that is just taking into account talent alone, and not the tremendous chip residing on Manning’s shoulder after being dumped by the team he made, and told forever that he is not as good as a QB with an actual team around him. Say what you want about the Colts, and I will argue the point that they are a 2-14 team without him. He is that good. Who thinks we sweep NE if we have Manning on our current team?

Here's the thing
Indisputable: This year, if we had a fully healthy Peyton Manning starting as opposed to Henne/Moore, we would have either split the series with the Pats or swept them.
Debatable: Next year, if we have a fully healthy Peyton Manning starting, we might sweep the Pats.
We have months of free agency plus the draft in between now and football next season. If Bill Belichek uses his high draft picks to draft quality players, and the Patriots acquire impact free agents (Think Brian Waters, as opposed to Chad Ochocinco) the Patriots will be a significantly better team, so just because we played them tough in the second game in 2011 doesn’t mean we’ll be better than them in 2012. Remember, the Dolphins aren’t the only team looking to improve this offseason.
Personally, as a Dolphins fan – if we have another impact draft like the 2011 draft (which in my mind helped save Jeff Ireland’s job), AND acquire a fully healthy Manning plus another quality player in free agency, we should be favored to win the AFC East (we’re a right tackle, pass rushing OLB, and QB away from being elite – very fixable in 1 offseason). However, if Belichek strikes gold with some of his picks in the early rounds, we’d be up against an improved Pats team with a legit #1 WR and some depth on defense (unlike this year), so no guarantees.
I made a fan post a long time ago when we were sucking for luck but not in the first pick
And I asked, if luck wasn’t available would you take manning, and the poll was literally 90 to 10 against Peyton, some leaving comments saying “well this poll/post was easy” lol…..I’m curious to see how many ppl on here have warmed up to the idea of manning, if it’s still 90/10 or more 50/50…..
I love watching Wade and James!
