Ricky Ran Ricky Ran
I am surprised this isn't here yet, but according to Jason LaCanfora from NFL, Ricky Williams at the young age of 34 has decided he will once again retire from football. I also found a link on ABC News.
I was saddened that Ricky wouldn't be finishing his career here the Dolphins, but I will tell you, he will always be a Dolphin to me. He has been one of my favorite players for years.
I know he has done some controversial things. He walked out on his team to go smoke pot, and live in a tent in Australia somewhere. However, what we know now of Ricky, I think we can all understand that he had to fix issues in his life and went to some extremes to do so. Ricky Williams instead of being complacent with his role in football, he put himself first and tried to find out what was eating at him. He should be commended for that.
He eventually did come back and him and Ronnie Brown were a great one two punch in football. He came back to the team and played his ass off as much as he could. Put up a 1000 yards in 09, and had a few more to go along with that. I don't know if anyone is agreement with me, but I truly believe Ricky could have beat Walter Payton's records if he continued to play ball. Am I delusional on that one? Perhaps. But no one could deny his talent. Furthermore, Ricky was honest, he didn't mince words, he told you what he was thinking. Sometimes, what he told you made you think more. Ricky Williams is and was an interesting human being who I have respect for for that reason.
In my opinion despite all that has happened, we all love Ricky for the most part. I think he deserves a spot on the ring, but it will take a long time because there will have to be some convincing.
Good luck number 34. I wish your Ravens would have made the Superbowl so you could get that ring, but I guess other things happen.

I liked the way Ricky did things.
Hated going against him, but that just means he’s a competitor.
The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

My love for THE MIAMI DOLPHINS is unconditional...period!
Win for pride, Win for us fans!
God I hope we can knock the Jets out of the playoffs, I couldn't imagine despising a team and fan base more.
Go Dolphins!
I'm going to hold back on that one...

That suits him.
So far Csonka is flippers down number one.
(in my bumble opinion)
I never got a prize for doing what was expected of me.
i figured that would stir some debate
i know that csonka is probably the home town favorite, but i think Ricky could have been one of the best of all time had he remained focused for his career.

ifs and buts
can’t come into play when talking about all-time greats. If they could, then the floodgates would be opened.
T.O. would have been one of the greatest wr in the game, if only he hadn’t…..
and as my sig says, nobody hurt a tackler like Csonka did.

and btw
I loved watching Ricky run. Weird dude, but he was true to himself and that’s more than most in this world can say.

If he focused on his career...
And Csonka could have solidified his status had he not gone to the WFL as well. Still, I think he’s ahead of Ricky.
