Look, I hate our division Rivals as much as the next guy… but what the Patriots consistently do is AMAZING. Not to mention the Video Taping incident was how long ago, and NFL dropped the investigation and stated there was no wrong doing…you really thing the NFL dropped a chance to fine someone hundreds of thousands of dollars? C’mon. Thats just being ignorant.

As for Hoodie Bill, look me in the eye and tell me you wouldn’t have rather had him on the sideline instead of Wannstadt, Cameron, Saban, Sparano….. I certainly would have done backflips if he we had him. He wins. His teams believe in him, even after they leave. I’m sorry, your wrong.

I am not a Pat fan even the slightest, but I am also not an idiot fan who can’t respect one of the better coaches of this era.

They did not drop it

They fined the Pats a 1st round draft pick and fined Belicheat $500,000 dollars. They got caught cheating plain and simple and they have won nothing since that time, period. The comment is point of fact.

Must have it confused with the Matt Walsh portion from 2002… they were punished for a regular season game… either way, frankly I don’t care. That does zero to diminish what they’ve done for the past decade…… haven’t won anything since that time? Jesus..

For the record, the NFL sent out a memo telling teams not to video tape in 2007… why? because many teams did it…. as a matter of fact, the opposing team’s gave permission to do it. The Pats got punished because they did it the very week after the memo came out. If the opposing teams didn’t change up their playcalls for each game, shame on them. Thats gamesmanship. You think we don’t try to pick up signals every game? You’d be a fool if you thought we didn’t.

without cheating, they win zip in the big game. They got away with it for 01,03,04. They have 17 big time free agents this offseason that they will not be able to get the players back. They may have lots of picks, but they do not draft very well for the picks they have. I still have a problem with the tuck rule that seems to only apply to Brady or possibly none of that happens.

and I bet you raved about the awesome season we had in 2008, despite the weak ass schedule that you are now condeming the Pats for….. oh yeah, we didn’t win the Superbowl either that year.

They didn’t get away with anything in 01, 03, and 04… the other teams KNEW it was going on… Jesus. They only got in trouble in 2007, because they filmed the Jets sideline AFTER a memo went out telling TEAMS (not just the Patriots) to no longer do it…

Seriously, I hate having to defend a division rival from someone in my own fan base, but for the love of god… you make us look bad when you speak.

I never root for a division rival

The Pats were cheating this way for years, it was just that when they finally got turned in for cheating and had to stop their ability to know what the other team was going to do went away. It doesn’t make me or you look bad. You rooting for a team that was caught cheating makes you look bad. Nixon was disgraced for his misdeeds and history looks down on him for it. The Pats will forever have to deal with the stain of using illegal means to achieve their goals. If karma stays true, then all their glory is over and the bill came due yesterday and every year since they were caught. I don’t root for the Jets and fat Rex, nor do I root for cheaters. What Miami has or has not done since 73 has nothing to do with my thread here. I just enjoy the humiliation that the patsy nation must endure right now.

I Agree with phinman

I’m not going to sit here and say Bill isn’t a amazing coach and probably one of the best of all time, but i’m also not going to be ignorant enough to think that the patriots postseason failures since spy-gate is just coincidence. Up until this season they had gone 1 and done both times in the playoffs. This season lets face it their opponents were a joke. Denver is awful and the Ravens are the worst team in the league on the road.
