Shoulda been their D line.

I never got a prize for doing what was expected of me.

no way man.

Their D-line played extremely well, but Manning had a marvelous game. Nothing short of MVP worthy. He absolutely controlled every aspect of the offense and did so efficiently and productively.

Next year will be the year of the Big 4: Wade, James, Bosh & Cole.

There is no question that Eli is at the elite level.

That clutch sideline pass to Manningham was a thing of beauty.

Also, I really want Manningham now.

People say we don't have the cap room to sign him

I don’t know why people think the Jets do, they are reportedly 5 million over the reported cap and that is before FA has even started.

If you have a good capologist then you can make it work. Besides if the reports of him only wanting an incentive laden

contract vs. some demand for a bunch of upfront monies then its not going to be a big deal for us. Also that will leave us room for other FA’s to help fill out the roster.

We have the cap room (not a lot though)

But I was more talking about all the people saying he is going to the Jets, they are reportedly 5 million over with needing to resign some of their own FA.

I'm confused as to why I received a warning.

I see people use the ‘F’ word on here all the time; specifically aimed towards the Jets. What’s the deal?

I for think its a stupid rule

It really varies with these SBN sites, some allow profanity and some don’t and that confuses me some times. We should have the right to say what we want to say, I thought this was American, freedom of speech and all

I thought this was American, freedom of speech and all

I suggest that you understand what that means before you throw it around.

This site like many others have rules. This is a privately held blog and not the public square.

I just can't believe people are buying this.

<300 yards and 1 TD against a historically bad defense is MVP worthy? It should have been Tuck or Pierre-Paul. How can a QB who plays mediocre football 75% of the time be considered elite?

This was a sloppy game. Both teams had chances to put it out of reach early and didn’t do it. The difference is the Giants D stopped Brady, and the Giants O stopped Eli.

what did Tuck or Pierre-Paul do exactly?

yeah okay, they made a play here and there, but overall Tom Brady actually had a lot of time on most of his dropbacks. Are you gonna seriously try to tell me that the pass rusher specialist boys affected the play more than 75 % of the time? Yeah, there goes your “argument”.
How did Eli play mediocre football again?? I’d love to see you BS some evidence

by tylerrr on Feb 6, 2012 5:40 PM EST up reply actions

Historically bad, eh?
against a historically bad defense

They were middle of the pack in points against per game and led the AFC with 34 take aways. That doesn’t scream historically bad.

Eli is an elite QB, there are only about 3 or 4 QB that I would take over him currently in the league. Not to mention he threw for 1200 yards @ 65% with 9 TD vs 1 INT in the playoffs.
