Could NFL expand to 34 teams? Roger Goodell Says It's Possible
If the NFL is going to put a team in Los Angeles, it would probably be by expansion - and the league won't want to have an odd number of teams.

He also said that the NFl has no interest in expansion as of now
and that it isn’t on the agenda of the league. His qoute about 34 teams was simply that if an expansion happens it wouldn’t be to 33 clubs, That if expansion ever happens that it will be to 34 teams. He was more saying it to dispel the notion of an expansion team in L.A. in the near future.

He also said that he wanted a team in LA but was not a fan of teams moving. Seems like he is giving out mixed messages.

Or maybe his implication was an expansion of two clubs
in Las Angeles. Just kidding.

Actually I know at recently as in the last year it has been discussed that LA could hold two teams, again.......

Either way, I don't see expansion in the leagues immediate future.
Obviously I meant Los Angeles. Im not sure where “Las” Angeles even is?

One division in each conf. would have one extra team.

You would just play everyone in the conference once, and do away with divisions.
it’s really the only way around it. It would be like the NFL vs. NFL days. The only time NFC and AFC would meet would be in the Super Bowl. This would also do away with 8-8 teams going to the playoffs when there are 10-6 teams out there. This would also break the whole easier schedule thing, because they would play the same team.
When the Dolphins played the Jets it would be a bigger deal, like Ohio State vs. Michigan… you would have to live with the shame all year if you lost.
Just a last thought, just like the BCS you could play your rivals on the last game.
Any idea where the other team would be located?

I think he only said that.....
to dispell the rumors of the Lambs going back to LA……St louis is screwed with its stadium situation……
I still maintain Vladimir Konstantinov got what he deserved...If you can't handle that then kiss my ass......
"I've got a bad feeling about this..."
Let's put one in a random state
Like Oregon or Montana, maybe even Alabama
Would be cool...
But we don’t have enough people in Montana to support a team.
AMMO!
Go Griz! Let's win the FCS!
Has to be in a top city with a large surrounding population.
