First ever post and 4 Round Mock Draft

Hey fellow Dolfans I have finally decided to make a profile since keeping up with The Phinsider religiously for two years and I have decided to try my hand at a Mock Draft. It is only a Dolphin Mock Draft and I am including trades. I believe trading down would benefit us the most because there is so much depth at certain positions and I don't believe we are going to trade up to get RGIII. Now don't get me wrong I think he is a great QB I just think we have some holes to fill and he will cost too much. So I think it's time to get started and please forgive me if you don't agree with it since it is my first time and this is just some players that I think would greatly help our team.

1) For the first round I believe we should trade down even though I wouldn't mind Melvin Ingram where we are at. We could trade with Cleveland for their 22nd pick in the first round and their 5th pick in the second. With the 22nd pick i believe we should get Whitney Mercilus because we need another good pass rusher to pair with Wake. Nick Perry could also go here if Mercilus doesn't fall this far.

2) Now if we get Matt Flynn in free agency we could trade our two second round picks and get back into the first and get Mike Adams to bolster the right side of the O-line and have two dominating Tackles on the line. But I am basing my Mock on us not getting Flynn and with the first pick in the second round we draft Ryan Tannehill and get a QB who has the potential to develop into a great QB and lead our team for years to come. I also believe Brock Osweiler could be a great developing QB for us at this pick as well.

3) And now with our 2nd second round pick we could get Bobby Massie for an upgrade at RT.

4) Now with our third round pick we could get Brian Quick to help out Brandon Marshall. I also thought about Tommy Streeter here.

5) And finally with our fourth round pick we could get Ladarius Green becaus we desperately need a threat at TE.

Well I think these players would be a great addition to our team let me know what you think and if I stretched for anybody.

If we do get that extra 2nd round pick I say we trade back in the first and get Ryan instead of drafting him in 2nd. Not because I think he is a 1st round talent but because our 2nd round picks when it comes to QBs seem to be jinxed. LOL. Maybe by drafting the QB in a different round will make some kind of difference.

I see what your saying

I hate the fact that we might get another 2nd round QB but if we can’t get RGIII or Luck then I don’t see much of a choice, but if we can trade back and get Tannehill and another player that can help us then at least the 2nd round won’t be a complete waste.

It also doesn't look like we are getting him next year now either due to us possibly

scraping a wildcard berth I mean whose going to stop us the jests? titans? bengals? raiders? chargers? If philbins the right coach we are a playoff team next season

Welcome PhinFan

Well the dolphins news is to the North, South, East, and West of you need any help please call thankyou. Lolz nice post btw totally agree although I’d get Kirk Cousins or Brandon Weeden instead of Tannehill.

Thanks

I like Weeden if he’s available in the third, but I just think Tannehill has more potential.

depends on the scenario..

if we get Peyton we need to draft someone young, I would prefer Tannehill or Osweiler, if we get Matt Flynn then we should draft Weeden to compete with Flynn their similar in age and experience, if we get neither Manning or Flynn we need to trade down our first pick and get Tannehill, I extremely doubt he will still be there at pick 40

by Yakov on Feb 19, 2012 3:59 PM EST reply actions

I doubt we get Weeden

If we get Flynn there probably won’t be any competition from the money he will garner and with Weeden’s age if he gets drafted he needs to start or there isn’t much use of drafting him. I do agree that Tannehill might go towards the end of the first, but at this point it is hard to tell how everything will play out until we find out where Flynn and Manning end up.

Welcome

I rarely watch college ball, so I can’t comment, but I will look up these names. Thanks.

"The first thing I do when I get out of bed and feel the jolt in my knees is think of Roy Winston. On the second step, my calcified Adam's apple starts bobbing, and I think of Carl Eller. A few more steps in the dark and it's Willie Lanier. By the time I get to the bathroom, I'm flashing back to Dick Butkus and Ray Nitschke. And when the light finally comes on, I just hope that somewhere in the darkness they're thinking of me, too" - Larry Csonka.

Nice.

Tannehill could become a really good football player. And who knows him better than Sherman? It’ll be really interesting if Sherman thinks this guy can be our solution now, or whether he can be the solution is 2-3 years time. Only problem is that I think Tannehill will be gone in the 1st.

tannehill

im not sold on him i believe if we cant address the qb situation in free agency (manning or Flynn) then we have no choice but to trade up to get RGIII
