First off, let me just say what we're all thinking. WE NEED WIDE RECEIVERS! I wanted to bail on this game so badly so many times, but seeing as it's the last time I'll see Dolphins football for what will seem like an eternity and a half, I persevered. Rishard Matthews could be a beastly 3rd option, I love what I see from him as a rookie 7th rounder. However, passed that bright spot... damn. Hartline is a guy I'm all for if he's at the right price, but he's one of the weaker 1,000 yard receivers in recent memory. Without Bess we just looked hopeless throwing the ball.

On a similar note, BRING BACK JAKE LONG. To any nay-sayers out there, do you really think Greg Jennings will make a difference next season if the offensive line plays like it did today? With Big Jake at LT and Martin at RT, we were pretty serviceable despite below average guards (Incognito as a pro bowl alternate is a crime to me). Martin simply can't run block. That's not to say he'll be terrible at it forever, he is a rookie after all. But we let Long walk, I am NOT on board with spending another high-end pick on an OT. I love me some offensive linemen, but we already have our guy; why gamble to save cap space on players that will be ineffectual with our current OL?

On an unrelated note, DO NOT re-sign Sean Smith. I've wanted to like the guy so badly, but I just can't do it. He'll want way too much money for what he does. He has essentially zero big play potential and he's not even one of those steady pass deflecting CBs that doesn't make picks like Leon Hall.

Re-sign Starks. 'Nuff said.

Only bring Bush back if he's affordable. I love his work ethic and the character he brings to the team, but Lamar Miller looks like he could be just as effective if he learns how to block.

I'm rambling pretty intensely so I'll shut my face, but those are the main thoughts I had watching the game today. Obviously my opinion is really important and I have a direct link to Ross, so hopefully you've managed to bear with me so far here. In all seriousness though, I'd like to hear what the rest of my brother that bleed aqua and orange have to say.
