A follow up fan post "To how I became a Dolphins fan" By:  FSUDolphan

Thanks for the 'rec' Ohiofinfan4life. I feel like a rookie tring to earn his stripes.

The year the Dolphins drafted Marino my family left Homestead AFB, FL and moved to Hickham AFB, HI. Instead of eating lunch and watching the Dolphins play, I had to eat breakfast and watch the Dolphins play. When the late games started at around 400pm on the east coast it is lunch time in Hawaii. I got to watch two Pro Bowls and got to watch Alabama play USC in the Aloha Bowl.

The only game I got to see live after we left Miami was in 1998. It was the last game of the season. It was the Dolphins playing the Falcons in the Georiga Dome. That game did not go well for the Dolphins. That was the year the Falcons went to the Super Bowl and lost to the Broncos. Coach Reeves was coming back from is heart surgery. Jammal Anderson set the record for most carries in a season with 410. That record has since been broken by Larry Johnson of the Chiefs with 416 carries. My aunt went with us to the game and was doing the dirty bird all over her brother and her two nephews.

That is one thing that is still on my bucket list. I would love to get down to Miami and watch the Dolphins play at home. The ultimate weekend for me would be to come down to Miami and watch the Florida St Miami Hurricanes game on Saturday and the Dolphins play on Sunday. With Florida State winning on Saturday and the Dolphins winning on Saturday.

Once my dad retired of the Air Force. My family moved up to North Alabama. The Dolphins used to be the main TV game in North Alabama until the Houston Oilers became the Tennessee Titans and moved to Nashville. I found a really cool sports bar. I met some really cool Dolphin fans. This showed me that the Dolphins have a strong fan base through out the country.

To show you how crazy a Dolphins fan I am, I was checking on my house in Decatur, AL that I am selling. I. should have left early Sunday morning to head back home to Niceville, FL. Instead I went to the Sports Bar to watch the Dolphins beat the Bills and got home at around 930pm. It was only a five hour drive.

I hope this gives my fellow Dolphin fans a little better insight about FSUDolphan.
