Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill has reached the 3,000 yards passing milestone. He is the fifth Miami player to reach the milestone.
Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill has surpassed the 3,000 yard passing mark for the season. Tannehill's 30-yard completion to Rishard Matthews late in the second quarter puts Tannehill in the 3,000 yard club.
The other Dolphins quarterbacks to reach the mark are Dan Marino, Jay Fiedler, Chad Pennington, and Chad Henne.
Tannehill also set the franchise record for longest run by a quarterback. On the same drive in the second quarter, Tannehill ran for 31 yards, getting the ball inside the Bills' five yard line. The run passed Pat White's team record of 30 yards from 2009.
Tannehill threw for a touchdown with no interceptions in the first half of the game. The Dolphins lead the Buffalo Bills 14-3 in the third quarter.
