I was eight years old my dad was in the Air Force and got stationed at Homestead AFB. I really never had a favorite NFL team. I can remember my first game at the Orange Bowl. It was great experience the atmosphere was awesome . If I remember correctly the Dolphins won the game. I was hooked. The sad thing was when the Dolphins drafted Marino it was time for the family to pack up to move to the next base. So I followed the Dolphins via television. I will always remember Coach Shula raising his arms in victory in Philadelphia as he became the winning coach in NFL history. The spike play that Marino did vs the Jets. The game winning FG vs Dallas in the snow on Thanksgiving day after Leon Lett touched the ball and gave the Dolphins a second chance. Lamar Smith's 200 yard game in the playoffs vs the Colts. Cleo Lemon's pass to Greg Camarillo to beat the Ravens in overtime for the only win of the 2007 season. As you can see some of my favorite memories came from winning seasons and some came from losing seasons. The future of Miami Dolphins is very bright. I really like the new coaching staff. If this offseason is played right the Dolphins should be in playoff contention almost every year. It is now up to Jeff Ireland to get the right players. No matter how a season goes I will be a Dolphins fan.
Long live the Miami Dolphins!!!
