Alright, I'll admit it. I believed at the beginning of the season that our WR corp was going to surprise everyone and play well despite having a rookie adjusting to the NFL throwing to them. Good lord was I wrong. Tannehill has looked erratic recently, but that stems almost entirely from the fact that NOBODY GETS OPEN! Davone Bess is an obvious keeper, but even his hands have been a little slippery this year by his standards. Hartline looks like he's going to be nothing more than the product of blown coverages and although I like Fasano, the Italian Stallion isn't scaring any defense in this league as a seam threat. Clay makes his random cameos, but that's about it.
This being the current state of affairs, I'm gonna put my foot through my TV during the draft if we don't use our 1st or one of our 2nd round picks on a WR. We also need a DB and an interior lineman, but that's a little less concerning. I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that my favorite player in the NFL will probably be protecting someone else's blindside next year. If that's the case then we'd damn well better make some moves this offseason with the cap room. Also, PLEASE don't resign Sean Smith. I've tried hard as hell to like the guy but he just keeps making me look stupid every time I defend him. I'd rather start Jimmy Wilson. At least he makes plays once in awhile and doesn't just languish in mediocrity. Well, I guess with the way Ireland has drafted in the second round, I'd probably better ask Santa for a new television set so I have it on hand come April 25th...
