The Miami Dolphins lost to the Indianapolis Colts this week. But, that doesn't change that there were several strong individual performances during the game. Here's our fan vote to award the game ball for this week.
The Miami Dolphins were beat by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. However, a defeat does not mean there weren't strong performances from individual Dolphins players during the game. And, even though someone will write "No Game Balls in a loss," we are going to have our weekly game balls.
Each week, I will nominate up to five players for the Phinsider Miami Dolphins Game Ball. Then, you the readers, get to vote from that group on who should be recognized as the top performer for the Dolphins that week. The following day, I will post the winner on the site.
Here are our Week 9 nominees:
- Ryan Tannehill - 22-for-38, 290 yards, 1 touchdown, 90.9 passer rating
- Brian Hartline - 8 receptions, 107 yards
- Nolan Carroll - 10 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 3 passes defensed
- Brandon Fields - 4 punts, 53.3 yards per kick average, 2 inside 20, long 60
- Olivier Vernon - 2 tacles, 1 QB hit, FG Block
