Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has been fighting cancer all season, having to hand over the reins of his team. He's completed his first round of chemotherapy, and starts the second round tomorrow - but for today, he's at the game.
The Miami Dolphins face the Indianapolis Colts today, with kickoff in about 10 minutes. In attendance at the game will be Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who has been forced to miss the majority of this season as he fights cancer. While various reports go back and forth about whether the coach will address his team prior to the game, his being in the stadium will obviously be an emotional lift for the Colts.
Indianapolis has played hard all year to honor their coach, and could use his being in the stadium, watching the game with Colts owner Jim Irsay, as another motivational reason to attack the Dolphins.
Coincidentally, the Dolphins are completing their annual Dolphins Cycling Challenge today. The DCC raises money to fight cancer through bike riders racing through the three counties around Miami.
To find out more about Pagano, head over to Stampede Blue, and check out their story about Pagano at the game.
