I have never hid my agenda ; root on the Dolphins whenever, wherever, & with whomever ( unless you're some kind of lunatic crackpot ). This disposition has led my meeting all kinds of fans from all over the place. And truth be told I wasn't surprised that Benny & Bruno informed me they are from Belgium when I met them last year in NY. However, I was I little surprised when they reached out to me a few months ago about the Titans game. I told them I would be there and I could in fact give them a lift to the game as well. So on Saturday afternoon who shows up at my motel but Benny & Bruno straight from Belgium via SoBe. I could tell right away we where going to have some fun as about a minute passed after our greeting when they presented me with some Belgium chocolates & beer ! I sampled the sweets straight away and save the beer for later that evening.

After a short nap I joined them for some beers down at there room where we spent a bit catching up. During the conversation I was sad to hear that they didn't get to a proper sports gear store. They didn't have transportation so they where limited as to their options in SoBe. They also had missed hooking up with other friends to catch a ride to Sawgrass Mills ( a very large outlet mall in Sunrise, FL). I was tired, but there was no way I couldn't run them up to the Hard Rock as there is pretty good sports store there and it's open til 1AM. The look on Bruno's face as I explained about the selection at the different stores I knew about was so pitiful. Then when I mentioned I knew of a place,....that was open late,....well, he looked like a kid on Christmas. I needed some sleep, so the mission was straight there, shop with purpose, then straight home & to bed. Funny,....I didn't seem tried at all as I watched them comb over everything in the store. Not a bad for spur of the moment.

I made it to bed by 10:30, yet was up by 5:15. What to do, what to do,.....

I know,....I'll put up my flag !!!

When you get up that early, it's safe to say I got plenty of time for hair & make-up before our 8AM departure for the stadium. First people I see are Nick & James from The Deep End.

And, it is a fact, my flag pole was the tallest in the area !

Then for shits & giggles I bust out,......well, my bust.

Everything was set up and the people where rolling in as The Deep End was host 70 soldiers. I then introduced Benny & Bruno to Stripe & Fro and told them about how far they've come to see our beloved Dolphins. More on them later,...

Igor & Michelle from DolfansNYC where also there as they where in town for "web weekend". Did we have any representation ???

The party was in full swing when Finman Finhead ( not costumed ) suggested "shooting" a beer.

What he meant to say is wearing a beer,....they seemed like they are having fun !

Not only was today special because of our Veterans, Bennt & Bruno, but we also had another out of guest in The Deep End. From a galaxy far, far away (KY),.....I give you, Dolph Vader !!!

Jen is a Deep End member who is also military and it was her unit that we hosted. I cannot say enough good things about her and what she brings to this group. ( notice Bruno snapping pics in the background,....lol)

Bumped into my buddy "Crash" and told him about my bust,....so he stopped by for a look/see.

It was almost time to go into the stadium,....

But first I was told we needed to go support Solo D,.....no problem.

In the middle of my best moves,.....eat your heart out !

Now,....I have to backwards in the story just a bit. Before we left the tailgate Stripe & Fro did something that just plain make me proud to be associated with them. As we were all walking towards the stage I was telling B&B to just meet us at the car after the game. It is here that Benny says to me, " is it OK if we sit with you ?", as he pulled the magic wristbands from his pocket. Hell yes ! I hadn't even mentioned it angle to Stripe, yet there they sat. They were truly blown away by the experience. I was so happy for them,....

It almost takes the pain away,.....almost.

It always catches me off guard when someone say " your'e OFF4L". This time is was a guy snapping pics professionally in an NFL media vest down on the field. I read your post on The Phinsider he says,.....pretty cool. Now,.....post those awesome pics you took of me,.....lol.

Please people,....give it up for our military. Freedom isn't free.

Bummed that the fly over was way late, it was a bright red coast guard chopper. Late but cool !

However, that let down was short lived as my hero Marc Anthony passed through,......

I left the 1st row shortly after the 2nd quarter started and made room for this guy. I don't know who is in there, but I do know one thing. Those masks & costumes are hot as hell and this guy needed to be in the front row !!!

Another member that should have more front row time !!! And, he'll be in Buffalo this Thursday. Not sure if the costume made the trip though.

Again,....this post isn't about the team or the game at all. I was there and checked out mentally at 21-3. It's about the good times I and many others had despite watching the team not only lose, but not compete. I always try to take soem action shots as to hopefully get something cool looking off my cheap point & shoot camera.

I got something cool alright,......Tanya's jaw on the ground as the Fins F up yet again,.....

Funny,.....but sad.

The team tanked. Yet I and countless others will faithfully support them. And because of that love of the Dolphins I have had the privilege of meeting some great fans. Bruno & Benny made it safely back to Belgium with the memories of a lifetime. thanks for including me guys !!! It was a blast,......except for the game.
