Earlier today we took a look at the offensive snap counts for the Miami Dolphins in their loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Now, it's time to look at the defense.
The Miami Dolphins were embarrassed for the second straight week yesterday, this time as they lost to the Tennessee Titans. Earlier today, we broke down the game by offensive snap counts. Now, it's time to turn our attention to the defense.
The Dolphins were on defense for 61 snaps Sunday. Here's the breakdown, by position group:

Thoughts: There's a theme running through the defensive snap counts this week. With nothing seeming to work for the Dolphins, every position rotated players more than normal (and players were taken out when the game got out of hand - but we won't mention that). It's clear the coaches were looking to find a spark and get the defense playing like it should. The defensive line saw Shelby and Randall play more than their norm for the season.

Thoughts: The theme continues with the linebackers, as Kaddu saw his first snaps of the season, while Trusnik, Spitler, and Freeny all saw more playing time.

Thoughts: I found it interesting that the Dolphins used Amaya at safety. For most of the season, if Clemons or Jones came out for a snap (not that they have very often), normally Wilson would fill in. Could the Dolphins have finally realized he is a cornerback and be looking to leave him there - at least for the rest of the year?
