The NFL has reached it's halfway point, and all across the internet, people are making their "midseason" awards list. Over the past week, a series of player polls have come out, awarding some other honors - if you want to call them that. The Sporting News this week released a players poll naming the dirtiest players in the league, with Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito being named the second dirtiest player in the NFL.

"[I]'s a badge of honor for an offensive lineman to be up that high on the list," Incogntio told the media after the release of the list. "It definitely plays on defenders' minds that this guy is going to get after you for four quarters."

Incognito received 19 of the 103 NFL players' votes, placing him well behind the top spot, which went to Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (32 votes). Suh was named the dirties player last year as well. St. Louis Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan (14 votes) came in third this year, after being named the dirtiest player in 2010.

"I think I was at No. 6 last year, and no personal fouls and no major penalties and no fines, and I move back up to No. 2?"

Incognito was voted the dirtiest player in 2009.

"I realized that my actions in St. Louis were hurting the team, and ultimately hurting myself," Incognito explained. He added that he has worked to clean up his game, continuing, "I play the game the right way; I play a physical brand of football. I get after people, and there's a fine line between dirty and physical."

But, don't think that being on the list actually bothers Incognito.
