The Miami Dolphins lead the Cincinnati Bengals 17-13 late in the fourth quarter. Running back Daniel Thomas, who has been running hard throughout the game, had to leave after an apparent head injury.
Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas was forced to leave the team's game against the Cincinnati Bengals late in the fourth quarter today with a possible head injury. He was able to walk off the field under his own power.
Thomas was hurt on a short run up the middle, when he was hit helmet-to-helmet by the Cincinnati Bengals' Ray Maualuga. Both players are out of the game and being evaluated.
This is the second player to miss playing time of Miami today with a possible head injury. Dolphins' cornerback Nolan Carroll missed two series in the third quarter after being hit in the head by teammate Karlos Dansby on a tackle. Carroll was cleared of any concussion symptoms and returned to the game.
