There's no need for doom and gloom.
He had a cheap owner in Tennessee and took a below average team (talent-wise) to the Super Bowl. I’m not saying he will be great, but there’s no reason to be a sourpuss until he has a year under his belt.

i love the phinsider… I was up late trying to fix my computer and using this site as a test, and I stumble across this great piece of news! I really believe in this guy, as soon as the rumors started to fly about Sparano leaving I hoped we would get Fisher, so I was positive it would never happen.

Why is everyone so upset about Fisher?
The guy has assembled just about everything you could think of at one point or another, and he’s seen it all. He was a half yard away from overtime in a Super Bowl, and he went 13-3 with an outdated Kerry Collins at QB. He had success with Collins, Vince Young, and definitely Steve McNair.
Also, wasn’t he fired because he and the owner had a disagreement over whether or not Vince Young was worth playing?

If it does happen...
I do at least consider it an upgrade over Sparano. I am disappointed that it likely means the end of Mike Nolan and the 3-4 defense, but I do believe Fisher is a good coach and I think there are a bunch of players that would love to play for him.

Well even though I would have liked a guy like Chud,Philbin etc
I really do not mind Fisher at all I know that Jeff and the owner of the Titans did not see eye to eye when it came to certain players especially Vince Young so who knows if he has some say or control maybe this could be a good thing

I read something just yesterday where people who knew Fisher said he was a great HC,
but he should be kept away from personnel decisions. If Fisher comes, then Ireland has to be the guy picking up the talent.

Why does he have to get rid of Nolan?
That just seems kind of silly to me. The ONLY glaring problem I saw in defense this year was conditioning at the statr of the season. If our D started off as strong as it ended we’d probably be in the playoffs.
Fisher, if you are reading this- and I know you are because this site is sweet- keep Nolan, but get rid of the practice bubble and get the team practicing in the heat early and often, and we’ll crush the guys who come here early in the season. The opener against the Pats was a horrible thing to watch. Nobody should ever be better in the heat than us, ESPECIALLY some punks from fricken Boston.
Let's see.
1. Regression of Wake and not the play calling response to blitz more (this has to do with #2). Defensive play-calling wasn’t the best.
2. Regression of our young corners.
3. Regression of our Safety position. This was mostly to blame on Nolan for picking Jones over Clemons.
