Possible Draft Day Trade!!! Realistic? you tell me

If Richardson is still on the board @ 8-9 I think we can make the trade with Cincinatti (pretty sure they need a RB and from what I have read they would love to have Richardson). Only thing is I'm not that educated on trade values so for those out there who know a little more about that please tell me if this scenrio sounds realistic. Trade: Miami gets the 17th and 21st pick and a player Cincinatti gets the 8/9 pick and 137th pick in 2012 draft. With our picks we can possibly select Mike Adams at (17) and Dwayne Allen at (21) and with our (42) pick take Vinny Curry. With those three picks the Dolphins just filled some major needs at RT, TE, DE. The player I would like to see the Dolphins snag is Domata Peko DT, he’s Soliai double (only he’s 20 lbs lighter but one year younger) not as good but he can fill the gap and is an excellent run stopper plus he would come a hell lot cheaper. http://www.nfl.com/player/domatapeko/2506925/profile Oh yeah Peko also plays FB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huolfNTLgB0 Thoughts?

I commented this on someones fanpost but I thought it'd make a decent fanshot

im pretty sure

the value of that pick is a little less than both the 17th and 21st..im thinking maybe a 1st,2nd,4th would make more sense, but i agree with the idea.

yeah your right

I looked it up, the value of our picks (8/9) and (137) comes to 1,437 pts. Whereas, Cincinatti’s picks value comes in around 1,750 pts. Maybe if we put a player like McDaniels/Merling to sweeten the pot we could get this trade done.

this

and I doubt Curry will be available at 42.

"I think we can all agree the best thing about this years Superbowl is the Jets aren't in it. The Jets are a lot like the Yankees...everyone hates them. Only they don't have good players, a winning tradition or a coach who doesn't beat off everytime a player gets their ankle taped." - Daniel Tosh

Curry is currently predicted to fall in the late 2nd.

I’ve been thinking lately Cleveland might trade their 23rd pick and 5th pick of the second round for our 8/9th pick. Imagine if they got Griffin/Blackmon AND Richardson. Could happen.

Most of the Mock drafts I looked @

having him going middle of the second round, but I understand that his stock is definately on the rise and probably will go further up come combine.

I like the idea

If we added a player and got those picks I would go:
17. Best OLB available in this order: Coples, Ingram, Upshaw, Mercilus
21. Dwayne Allen TE
2nd: Best OT available

I got S + What a Dog's Tail Does.
One of them "Young Guns"

100% agree

I rather take the pass rusher before the OT because great pass rusher are hard to find

Wish we could sim this season

Good Idea!

I definately like the idea. Anytime you can trade down for more picks, do it!

Miami is stacked at D. Starks Odrick Mc Daniel is all we need for 4 3 defense

There is no need to resign Soliai Langford & Merling. I also let Henne go and cut Bell. That money can be use to sign atleast 2 of these players Finley Flynn Djax Grubb. Draft best pass rusher in the 1st

Wish we could sim this season

If your team is going to run a 4-3 defense

you better have more than just 3 DT. Merling will likely be retained probably 1 year deal, but I would love to see a guy like Peko in Miami. I have a feeling that they will be using Odrick as a DT/DE, obvious running situation slide Odrick to the side to set the edge and plug in another DT to anchor the middle gap. Finley is going to get tagged, Flynn is most likely going to be a Dolphin, I don’t know who Djax is, and I believe either Grubbs or Nicks will be in Miami come next year.

Not to blow this out of the water, but I will...

Oakland has the 17th pick in the draft. The Bengals only have the 21st pick. How do you propose Cincy to acquire Oakland’s pick as well to give to us?
