Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

If the Dolphins do in fact switch to a 4-3 defensive scheme, Miami will be in great need of an Inside LB, I would be pretty worried if Koa Misi was lining up inside. I believe the Dolphins will try and bring back Channing Crowder, yes I know he wasn't a play maker for us, but he was a good football player. He wont have to worry about making big plays anyways, because he will be paired up with Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett. All I'm saying is that I think the Dolphins will consider bringing back Channing, lets see what happens.

I think you're onto something

Especially considering the hiring of George Edwards as linebackers coach. Edwards was our LB coach for Crowder’s first 5 years in the league, including in 2008 when Crowder had 92 tackles. They work well together and a 4-3 linebacker corps of Dansby-Crowder-Burnett would be a definite improvement over Dansby-Misi-Burnett.

I totally forgot to add that to the Fan Shot,

Edwards and Channing have a great relationship, Channing played his best football under George, and bringing him back would be a great move.

And I'm sure Channing would love to come back, he loves the Dolphins.

Channing’s twitter page “SEMI-Retired Miami Dolphins Linebacker #52”, my gut feeling is that he will be back.

I say DO IT!

He might not be a playmaker, but he’s super smart and can get the D in the right play and let Dansby and Burnett make plays.

I remember one of OFF4L's posts

…about CC. It was one of those where had was taking pictures. OFF4L had asked him about Miami’s Defense…and why it was so crappy this year…CC had said something to the effect of “When I was the QB of the Defense..my D made the plays…we had our shit together”…..I forget exactly what OFF4L had said CC said…but it was something close.

I, for one, wouldn’t mind him coming back. He brought a lot of fire to the team. It was interesting to watch him get into it with other players….just stir people up.

I met him at a concert at the bank Atlantic center

About a month ago (only person who recongnised him super proud of my self) asked him if he ever thought about un-retiring. His answer " I would only come back for the Dolphins." so I say please bring him back, he loves it here

Sign him up!

He wouldn’t be expensive either.

i would be down with that...

Channing in the middle with Dansby and Burnett on the outside. however, idk what that does to Misi. I know a lot of people want to move him to DE if we move to the 4-3, but IMO he isnt enough of a pass rusher to do that

Maybe not a superstar, but Crowder was solid.

I can’t help but wonder if he left because he couldn’t take the dysfunction within the organization/the whole Sparano mess. I’d love to see him come back.

I don't know that he would even come back...but I would love to have him back...

From what he has said … he is not a big fan of Ireland.. he pretty much said as long as Ireland was in Miami…. he wouldn’t be… I kinda hope he reconsiders though, because it seems like Philbin has more pull here than Sparano did, and I am hoping the fact that we brought back Edwards will sway him into coming back here…. We all miss him for sure … his interviews were always the MOST HILARIOUS…

We had [Brady] down… but we didn’t kick him. We helped him up and gave him a PowerPuff Girls band-aid for his knee. What exactly did you expect would happen when we did that?

I would love to see him back in a Fins uniform,....

And,…..they can make him a defensive captain too for that matter !
