I don't really believe that Ireland's job depends on if he hires one of his

candidates. I’m just going to wait until all the details come out but I believe Peterson will be in Parcell’s role and Ireland will stay, though his role may be limited.

La Canfora is usually spot on. Could it be that Fisher has no interest in the Phins job because the supposed GM wasn’t involved in the interview, but someone like Peterson was?

If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, this offseason starts off with a big thud yet again.

Doesn’t matter because until anyone signs a contract, its all mis-information. They also said that the Phins pulled out all the stops, offered a contract, and that Ross is willing to shell out some serious dough to Fisher. Also Adam Schefter is going to be on ESPN radio in 5 min or so.

It’s my guess.

That if Fisher or any of the hot retreads was to be hired then Peterson and the new HC would select a new GM. If none of those guys are interested, then Ross and Ireland will select the new HC.
