Matt or Matt  !!!

That is the question.... Why not give a chance to Matt or should we be looking at Matt ?... With Joe Philbin newly in charge, will he be tempted to bring Matt on board ? or will he be choose to build the 2012 offense around Matt.. After all, we have seen a lot of good things from Matt in the last 9 games...things that we have not seen since Chad Pennington dream season .... I just hope that Joe Philbin will not loose sight that we need to finally get stability at QB position... As far as Matt, who knows if he is overated...seriously, one game will make him a eight figures QB ??

I want RGIII ! ....if not I want Matt...... Moore ! he deserves a chance to perform in a renewed offense......

Merci !!

Matt Moore was efficient under Daboll's system.

That being said, it’s not enough. His numbers were pretty pedestrian this season. Other than his QB rating. He didn’t put up a lot of yards, he had trouble finding the endzone at times and he had trouble holding onto the ball with turnovers and such. Daboll is as good as gone. For the same reason that I don’t think Peyton would work with the Dolphins and Philbin (different system than he is used to), I think Matt Flynn would flourish. I think that if he is a system quarterback, what better way to replicate the results of the game against Detroit than to let him play in a similar system under his old OC. That’s just what I think about it anyways. If I had my way, we’d get Luck, but he’s too expensive.

Agree with you

Moore was just okay, not the franchise-rescuing mesiah many on these boards want him to be. It will be interesting to see if Philbin shows interest in Flynn. If not, that’s all you need to know about Philbin’s opinion on him as a starter.

by Dolfan Lee on Jan 24, 2012 8:14 PM EST up reply actions

Absolutely.

To me Moore is wicked good back-up, but a back-up none the less. If Philbin decides not to bring in Flynn or doesn’t think he’s a franchise calibre qb, then that isn’t just a red flag to us, but a red flag to all other teams as well. Philbin knows him better than prolly anyone else does.

Moore is a avg QB, nothing more nothing less, he is the guy that comes in when were up or way down or our starter gets hurt .

He is a Tyler Thigpen. He is solid not good or great and never will be. Get a true starting QB and be done with it

Matt Moore deserves a chance to compete for the starting spot...

What he doesn’t deserve is the starting spot outright. If we go get Peyton Manning, Matt Moore is a backup. If we get RG3 you let him compete for the starting spot until RG3 wins it outright. If you bring in Matt Flynn you make them compete. But to say that we are NOT going to try to improve at the most important position in football after a 6-10 season is just utterly insane..

We had [Brady] down… but we didn’t kick him. We helped him up and gave him a PowerPuff Girls band-aid for his knee. What exactly did you expect would happen when we did that?

i agree with this

I'm ALL- IN. Do whatever it takes to get Andrew Luck or RGIII to Miami in 2012.

Agree except

Don’t want to see the starting spot be assigned to anyone, even Manning if we do get him. If he should get out played my MM in preseason, I’d start MM and let him sit on the bench… Sorry, but that’s how I feel.

Dont want either Matt long-term

but i would want Matt Moore in the very short term (like 5 weeks), until RGIII is ready…

I disagree

Matt is alright, but I’m secretly hoping Matt is our QB in 2012… we’d be unstoppable

QB Problems

All this talk about RGIII and trading up, but we don’t need to trade up! There are more QB’s out there infant some are JUST AS AMAZING!!! Such as, Russel Wilson for starts. This guy was a beast he’s like an up graded Cam Newton! He can run and throw the ball like a bullet! Also we’ve got Kellen Moore in the Draft who threw 53 TD’s!!! And ONE LOSS in the season. Personally I think either of these guys would be great for a starter or even to Push Moore, Flyn, Manning or whoever to preform at thier highest ability.

I will look in to putting it together and getting it back up. There are some great posts that have been put up in the

past so I can draw from those.

No RGIII

The reality is folks Miami is NOT going to trade up for RGIII, so all talk of him is futile. the cost of trading up is just too high. The only possibility is if he manages to fall to Miami. And if you’ve been keeping up with the senior bowl neither Russel Wilson, Kirk Cousins, or Kellen Moore is doing very well. Miami is going to attempt to sign Peyton Manning. That is Ross’ first priority. That will fill seats in the stadium. If that fails, I expect Miami to go after Matt Flynn.
