Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

He's making it his number one priority and apparently he has crafted a fool-proof plan with several contingency plans that will allow us to finally land our franchise qb that we've all been craving since Dan the Man left us.

A lotta backups became heroes in the NFL.

Strock was a backup.

(just to name one)

I never got a prize for doing what was expected of me.

schaub is the only one of recent memory that was a backup, showed some upside and was successful on another team

look at kolb and whtiehurst as of most recent, who demanded money and picks and didnt do squat

are 2 kind of Backup QB's

the guys who really are Backup QB’s, because his age and/or his potencial

and the young QB’s who was in development to be the future starter/star of a franchise, a lot of this guys become in the first class, but someones have really the potencial to be starters and stars in the league

I believe Flynn was the 2 kind, when he arrive to the League he need a lot to learn and grow… and land in a organization to know how to develop a QB, and now he was ready for the challenge… I believe the dolpins need to push for him.

if we aren't able to land PM then yes I have no problem with Flynn given its in Philbin's system

but at the same time if thats the case I would want to draft a qb in the second rd for sure to groom and let Moore be the backup and Flynn start with our rookie to develop into the future, but if we can get PM then same thing but probably will need to wait till 3rd rd or trade up since we won’t have $ for OL or DE/OLB and will need to use our top picks to draft those positions
