Check to see what everyone over at the Mile High Report is saying about McCoy.

Hey guys, this is my first post on the Phinsider even though I've been coming here for years for Dolphins info and updates. I just figured I'd pop this up for anyone who was upset the Phins didn't take McCoy over Philbin. The Broncos fans are actually upset over there that he will still be with the team and actually compare him somewhat to Sparano. I think we dodged a bullet and I've been pulling for Philbin as our HC since I heard he was a possibility so I am extremely happy with this hire. We may finally get to see the high octane offense we've been wanting for so many years. Here's hoping that Clements comes over as our OC too, even though I haven't heard his named mentioned for us very much. Just like everyone else is saying, Philbin and the West Coast Offensive system he'll bring (maybe)+ Flynn = success in my opinion. It'll be fun to watch regardless. I don't think McCoy is mature enough or ready to lead a team as a HC yet and after the reports of his antics after Philbin was hired, I doubt he will be for some time. Go Phins!!! And may Philbin bring us many years of success.

I'll take fan's reactions with a grain of salt.

Tebow threw it deep 75% of the time against Pittsburgh. McCoy played to his running strengths. If they think Tebow would have had any success in any other offense, then they are pretty damn delusional.

I agree.

Tebow definitely only had a chance in his sceme. However, it is slightly telling when seemingly the entire fanbase was disappointed at his return. It makes you think that perhaps all those people that were saying he was ready to take the next step to a HC were just blowing smoke. He seems to be to the Bronco fans, what Sparano was to us. Your icon is awesome by the way.

Great mind but just too imature to lead a team right now. Maybe in 4-5 yrs but right now he needs to stay at OC

I think the fact that McCoy declined to interview with the raiders is evidence he is not ready to be a head coach. You never assume you have a job in hand.

No worries

To some there is a very big difference. Like I said before I’m only a rookie here, but I do know that there are alot of people who spend days sometimes weeks writing a fanpost and they hate to watch all their hard work get pushed further down the list by something they feel might of not took a lot of time to write (which is pretty understandable.) I’m no phinsider police and mean no disrespect but I know that’s how things operate around here.
