Manning is a great player, and a good guy,
but I honestly do not want him. Im so done seeing this team bring in stop gap after stop gap no matter how good they were or still are or whatever. We need a young guy with the potential to take us where we want to be for a decade not just a couple years till retirement. And some say we bring him in and develop a guy under him but after seeing what their backups looked like this year its obvious hes not the mentor type of guy for that job. RG3 or Flynn are the ways to go in my opinion.
I understand your reasoning completely, however
many people (myself included) believe that with an elite QB like Peyton (assuming he’s close to full health) this team is a super bowl caliber team. We all saw the difference between Colts with and without Peyton. Miami has a much better surrounding cast than the Colts do. Great D, some explosive offensive weapons. Why should be force ourselves to find a young franchise QB when A) we could possibly win NOW with Peyton, and B) it doesn’t seem like there are many good options? Do you really want to trade probably this year and next year’s 1st rounders and a 2nd to get RG3? I just don’t think he’s worth it. And Flynn is highly unproven. He’s only started 2 games and worked in a very high powered offensive scheme with a lot of good receivers.
And Manning will love the fact he has Jake Long and Pouncey in front of him. Add another OG and OT this offseason, and he'll probably take a small pay cut to come here.
Plus we all know the heat is great for guys that have just come off an injury.

you are right ...
It would be awful to win the next 3 Super Bowls. I would not be against taking Manning, and then letting him groom RG3. If he drops and we do not go after him, we are crazy.
We had [Brady] down… but we didn’t kick him. We helped him up and gave him a PowerPuff Girls band-aid for his knee. What exactly did you expect would happen when we did that?

Don't think they can find a helmet to fit his bulbous head ! hence the neck problems !
but really, if he came here I would get behind him , as I would with whoever we have slinging the pigskin, but his health concerns worry me, one good hit and he’s out for the year again and we are back to a backup under center. whatever happens , I hope they keep moore on staff, i think he earned a shot at it, and under philbin’s tutoring , who knows how good he could be.

Tannehill
If Mike Sherman is brought in as OC, Miami might draft Tannehill. But that would depend on who, if any, is signed during free agency. If Manning or Flynn is signed I would expect the first round to be used on another position. Manning is flashy, but with the injury he had can he come back? Flynn would be the best candidate, but lets not forget Matt Moore. Philbin might go with Matt Moore and have the QB coach work with him to improve his game. It’ll be interesting to see how all this works out.
Manning is a good hit away from paralysis.

Miami's Superstars: Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall, Jake Long, Mike Pouncey, Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake, Vontae Davis and Sean Smith (just wait), Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mike Stanton, Gaby Sanchez, Hanley Ramirez, Josh Johnson, Heath Bell, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes, Tomas Fleischmann, Stephen Weiss, Jose Theodore, and Chris Versteeg. :)
Plan c is good for me.
Giving Flynn Kevin kolb type money is NOT what I wanna see. N he will get that type of deal from some desperate team.

The scenario that currently intrigues me the most:
Sign Manning (if healthy AND available)
Draft Reiff
Move back up into Rd 1 and get Tannehill
This could make our OL great, give us possibly immediate contender status with an elite QB, and maybe, just MAYBE, provide us with our future franchise signal caller for when Manning is done. This is what I’m hoping will happen, but as I’ve stated in an earlier comment, as long as we make SOME serious attempt at upgrading the QB position, I won’t be upset.

All of you are crazy to not want Peyton...
He is by far the best player available right now in any format whether it means the draft and FA. Of course no one would sign hinm without a clean bill of health. But you have to look at the positives. It allows us flexibilty in the draft, allows us to conted right now, and for once beat Brady’s ass. It also helps put fans in the stadium, not to mention help attract big name FA’s, such as Reggie wayne to play opposite Marshall. Then you can beef up the O-line in the draft, draft Tannehill, and groom him. That way whichever QB we draft doesn’t have to go in right away. IF peyton is healthy, and he does come here, we should all thank our lucky stars that Ross is willing to overpay him to come here. Instant credibility. And don’t worry, after we beat the Rams, maybe Fisher will rip his jacket off, and have a Phin’s Manning jersey on after crying because he thought going to St. Louis would ensure he would never have to face Peyton again…lol. I say do it in a heartbeat!!

I think Manning was not compatible with "Grow rookie QB"
only see whats happens with all PM backup QB’s
I'm not gonna buy a jersey until the roster is set
A Manning jersey and a Bush jersey would be pretty sweet.
