Philbin's been answering questions
So far he’s said that there are candidates for the coaching jobs that are open, but no decisions have been made.
And regarding the West Coast Offense, he said that he’s been in the WCO for 9 years but he honestly doesn’t know what that means. He says he doesn’t plan on getting the Green Bay playbook and bringing it down here, however it will be similar in terms of attacking and what not.
And he just said that he plans on letting the OC call plays.

He's a QB at SMU.
He started as a Freshman and Sophmore. Winning the Hawaii Bowl two years ago, the team’s first Bowl game since the death penalty.
He was benched this year when he three three picks in their first or second game, and their senior QB came in, played well, and ran with the team the rest of the year. Kyle should be back out starting next year.

I kind of cringed when it came up though I knew it would. I’m happy to see he seems to be very well and definitely ready to move on with this job. Of course it will be difficult but he seems content enough to concentrate at the task at hand

philbin impressive, quiet authority and striking the right tone of intelligence, knowing what it takes to win but not
overpromising. when he talks building he sounds like he knows whereof he speaks. he and ross seem like adults.
biggest news item is ireland’s comment that philbin has “100 percent” hiring authoritty.

I can’t help but be very impressed by that press conference. You can see Philbin is a leader. He is intellegient. And he inspired me. This is not another Cam Cameron. I think this guy is the real deal.
It’s real interesting when he was talking about the defence. He’s gonna want to bring in another pass rushing OLB. A top quality one. It’s going to be an interesting free agency and draft.

I liked the way Philbin handled himself
Just the way he conducted himself makes me think he was the perfect guy to make it work with those 2 bozos in our FO.
The man seemed to be a class act and someone I can get behind. I hope he does as good in the wins-losses part of the job.
