People have said all things.
Bowles was eliminated yesterday, today he isn’t. Let’s just wait to see who is hired, not eliminated. That is changing every moment.
- Attempting to debate with a person who has abandoned reason is like giving medicine to the dead.
- Defeat isn't bitter if you don't swallow it.

UPDATE 2: A source close to Philbin tells me the Green Bay offensive coordinator has not been told one way or another what his status with the Dolphins is. Sheesh!]

Miss the misery.
Need a reason for a change.
Need a reason to explain.
So turn it on again.
Don't change your mind.
You're wasting light.
good
took long enough.
McCoy needs to be the guy.
"I think we can all agree the best thing about this years Superbowl is the Jets aren't in it. The Jets are a lot like the Yankees...everyone hates them. Only they don't have good players, a winning tradition or a coach who doesn't beat off everytime a player gets their ankle taped." - Daniel Tosh

Why?
NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs
There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.

Seriously, Please explain to me why we should hire McCoy. Is it because of the best 2 years of his career that Kyle Orton had under McCoy? Is that it?
Is it because of the best 2 years of his career that Kyle Orton had under McCoy? Is that it? Kyle Orton played no better in those 2 seasons than Matt Moore played this season so what is special about McCoy’s work with Orton? Orton had an 86.8 QB rating in 2009 and 87.5 in 2010 as the unchallenged starter each year. Moore posted an 87.1 QB rating this year after taking over roughly 4 games into the season.Matt Moore actually posted a better QB rating in Carolina AFTER McCoy left for Denver (67.0 in 9 games in 2007 and 98.5 in 7 games in 2009). So please explain McCoy’s great developmental reputation regarding QBs because it really isn’t anything special especially when you directly compare it with Philbin’s.
Is it because he adapted his offense 6 games into the season to better suit Tim Tebow? McCoy instituted a college Option offense that Tebow was used to running for 3 seasons at UF. What is so special about that? Maybe the credit should go to Tebow for making it work? How much adaptation did McCoy do in those playoff games? It took him until overtime to call a playaction pass against the defense that was selling out the pass to stuff the run and when he finally did it went for 80 yards. How about the adjustments in New England? Can’t think of any off the top of your head? Don’t worry neither can anyone else. Tebow went 9-26 against the Patriots but at least 7 of those incompletions were throwaways by Tebow because nobody was open or the play had been broken down by the defense. Give Tebow half of those back and his comp % hits 50% (You know that number he never gets to that he is routinely criticized for).
McCoy is so good he guided the #25 scoring offense in the NFL to 8 wins while playing in the AFC West and backed into the playoffs on a tie-breaker. How is THIS the guy to lead Miami back to prominence??? Tebow has made McCoy a superstar based on 3/4 of a season and soon McCoy will be on his own with all of our hopes and dollars in his pocket. This would be a bigger mistake (At face value) than the Cam Cameron (Who’s offenses were 3rd, 5th and 1st in the NFL in scoring his last 3 seasons) hiring was.
So seriously, SOMEBODY, ANYBODY explain to me why Mike McCoy is the guy you want to be the next Dolphins Head Coach. PLEASE.

qb rating is a bogus stat
doesn’t account for fumbles.
Moore wasnt much better than Henne at taking care of the ball, but has the higher rating. Doesn’t make sense.
Kyle Orton had 40 tds to 20 ints with McCoy as OC.
he’s led offenses to 7th in the league in passing and 1st in rushing. He can adapt to whatever craptastic qbs he’s provided (Orton and Tebow).
Most experts said Tebow would not be able to win a game in this league, 25th in scoring is miraculous.
Philbin has a reputation developing qbs???? Never even coached qbs before he’s an OLINE COACH!!! Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy are solely responsible for Green Bay’s offense. WIth Aaron Rodgers callin plays Flynn threw 6 TDs. Rodgers/McCarthy are two of the best offensive minds in the game.
Theres a reason Philbin is 50 and has never gotten a shot yet. He’s garbage.
McCoy is a former qb and qb coach. He’s young and confident. He needs to be our HC.
