I........LOVE IT
And ill tell ya why, RG3 ends up out of reach (sad day I would really like him) but then we take a player in an area of need with loads of potential (score that’s how to get things done) but then the real kicker comes in, a star player falls do to another player at that position being more versatile, this would allow us to grab an amazing player at another position of mediocrity I am of corse talking about David DeCastro, if the draft falls this way I would love to see us do whatever it took to bring this kid in. Long, DeCastro, Pouncey is almost unfair. Add in one of the killer Gs in FA and then either Jerry or Murtha at RT and this line is set for anything. This is a draft I can get behind lol :D

DeCastro is a guard
I think if we were to draft him, we wouldn’t need to pick up another G in free agency, unless it was to upgrade Incognito who actually played pretty well this year. If we were to go this route, I think it would be smarter to pick up Riley Reiff or Jonathan Martin (tackles) and target a guy like Grubbs or Nicks in free agency to fill the void left at G.

i know
But that’s what it’d be is an upgrade, there’s almost no way that DeCastro falls to the second so I think we would plan for that buy grabbing one of the Gs in FA. Then if we were to get a shot at a once in a long time player like DaCastro appears to be, in the second round, we would have to pull the trigger. Call it wishfull thinking. I wouldn’t mind the Riley Reiff pick in the first either. Pass rush or Oline are the two ways to ge if RG3 ends up out of reach

I don't doubt DeCastro's talent at all, he's awesome
Just that this year has much better options at G in free agency than T, so if we were to go all-in on the OL then I’d prefer taking Riley Reiff/Jonathan Martin and then going G in free agency.

I've resigned myself to taking best player available
I’d be thrilled with Melvin Ingram or Zach Brown, if our organization felt confident that these guys are worthy of a top-10 pick. I haven’t watched film on either, so I’m going on faith here. Riley Reiff/Jonathan Martin would be the safer picks I believe, but I think they would also have less potential impact.

if we cant trade up to get Griffin, trade down and acquire as many picks as possible. maybe even another first for next year.
Shit I wouldn’t mind if they traded out of the first completely, got a first for next year, and an additional second for this year. Then fill whatever holes you didn’t fill through FA. Thake a page out of the Patriots book.
Where is Oronde Gadsden when we need him?

That would be disappointing from a fan perspective, but not a bad idea.
Plenty of playmakers in the second round.
The provisio of course being that we erect a monument at the front of the stadium out of 20 foot high concrete letter that says “Barkley in 2013 NO MATTER WHAT”
Ridonkulous, as usual
But at least this guy has some understanding of what the Dolphins’ needs are.
