I want RG3, but if we get Flynn via FA I'll be happy. I said it last year that I like and wouldn't mind want and I stand behind my convictions. I think he can be "the guy".

I want RG3 as well
But there will probably be an idiotic bidding war over Flynn and I’d rather stay the course with Moore.

I’d rather stay the course with Moore?!
There was nothing in Moore’s numbers that would want me to stay the course with him as our starter. That can easily be said about Flynn though.

Sandwiched between Philip Rivers and Jay Cutler?
Twelfth overall in passer rating?
I agree that he’s definitely not our “franchise quarterback” at this point, but I’d say there’s plenty to work with there.
With that said, I completely agree with the idea of bringing in Matt Flynn. We could then use a top ten pick on a defensive play maker or a tackle. Or even get tricky and trade down, grab a tight end like Dwayne Allen and make the job that much easier for whoever ends up being our quarterback.
Here’s an idea:
Bring in Matt Flynn, resign Chad Henne and have a real quarterback battle. I’m just as frustrated with Henne as the next Dolfan but you can’t just ignore the serious improvement to his game before going down behind an awful offensive line…

Let me clarify
Bring in Matt Flynn, resign Chad Henne and have a real quarterback battle.
I’m including Matt Moore in this battle. But as I am writing this, I’m realizing that Henne will probably get offered a deal elsewhere and [if he’s smarter than his early career decision making would suggest] he will be leaving town.

The serious improvement came with the overall team, especially defense
I posted Moore’s numbers in another fanshot, they are nothing special

If we sign Flynn
we will draft a QB…just not in the 1st.
The competion will be between Moore and Flynn. Maybe Devlin will sell his soul to the devil and inherit Marino’s skills so he can compete.
Next year should be a great season…I just got a feeling that Flynn can lead us somewhere.

I'm not buying
Just because he played well in 2 pro games with last years SB team and most likely this years SB team doesn’t make me drink the cookaid that he’d be just as good on the Dolphins.
Saints take the NFC I'd wager

It's a great option that doesn't involve losing draft picks...
but two words come to mind…“Kevin Kolb”
put up great numbers on a team with great big-play receivers as a back-up, but when put into the starting role,
not as impressive.
There’s a chance that he will come cheap just because he has no track record whatsoever…if he can be had for cheap
that’s a no-brainer
BUT if the bidding war for his services escalates, he may not be worth it. With the new rookie pay scale, it may be more economical to move up in the draft than commit multiple years and a large signing bonus to an unproven NFL player.
I counted at least 4 and maybe 5 of his long TD’s and the resulting yardage due to plays made by his receivers…
Ryan Grant catches a 5 yard pass and runs 80
Jordy Nelson made three amazing plays on his TD’s, first, he catches a simple smoke route and fights off the defender and then makes two other great plays on deep throws

Exactly
He had one of the great offensive minds in the whole league right now calling his plays. Not to mention his recievers were making plays against the 22nd ranked pass defense.
And don’t expect him to come cheap. I see the Redskins, Dolphins, Browns, Seahawks, and Broncos all fighting for 2 players: Robert Griffin III and Matt Flynn. If we were to get Flynn it would take a Kevin Kolb-type contract, but I think we can work out the contract where we can release him after 2 years and owe him nothing. I would do it if thats the case.

Agreed..
Keep Moore, Devlin, go for Flynn. If Flynn gets to be too expensive, fall back on the draft. Odds are against us that we’ll sell the farm for RGIII. Depending on BPA, I can see us moving/trading down a few spots in the 1st round and then going for Jones/Tannehill.
If we get Flynn, he’ll compete with Moore to start (maybe), but Flynn will start. If we draft, Moore will start and the new guy will sit.
If we defy the Gods and move up in the draft (and me peeing my pants, but happy about it!), we’ll probably move up to 2 or 3. Browns at 4 and won’t be cooperative. Browns won’t sell the farm at 4. Redskins are the wildcard. Actually not. They will buy everyone’s farm, the animals and the outhouses. Our MAIN competition…
Sorry, got lost. Anyway, before any conjecture can be made (which all of this is) we have to see who we get as our Coach. We can then look back at his tendencies/input on previous drafts. If we get an upcoming OC/DC then we can look at Ireland’s history (again).
Maybe…
If we can't get RG3
I say let Flynn be the Jet’s or Skin’s new QB. I’d rather have Manning if we are gonna overpay for a non-rookie.
"He has a bad case of dumb face to boot."
Thanks to TCP for this gem.
Flynn will gone a wait to see if Philbin take a HC position
If that’s happens, Flynn could be the first option for a QB for these team… Can be this team the Dolphins?
