This is Melvin Ingram's midseason highlights. If we don't go up for RG3 we should definitely look to trade down into the early 20's for this guy. He is a physical beast and looks like a Jason Pierre-Paul clone. He's extremely athletic. In 13 games he had 10 sacks, 13 TFL, 2 interceptions, 2 fumble return for TDs, and a 55 yard fake punt return for a TD. If we want a potential elite rusher we should trade back and get an extra 2nd round pick. Tell me what you think of him.

Great idea I really like this kid
Froming watching the video it seems to me he plays smart and always knows where the ball is going to be. It also looks like he has hands maybe we could use him as a TE in some packages, kinda like Belchick used Vrabel.

Its great that he might look like a JPP clone..
But JPP’s success comes from a 4-3 defense and so far i see us running a 3-4 next year.. Anyways would like the idea of trading down. pick up another first in next years draft and get Barkley without losing as many picks

I like the thought. I just don't know if he can be effective from the OLB spot.
Ingram takes great pursuit angles so he can presumably set the edge well. He has a great burst of speed and uses his hands well. I think Ingram can surpass JPP but his greatest success for us is likely to come on hybrid sets where he can cheat up a little bit. If we can trade down into the early 20s and Ingram is still there he would be an excellent pick. Ingram + a second rounder would be one of the best 1st round values we could hope for.

Too slow
Ingram is too slow to play OLB in the NFL.
This is why I think he would struggle as an OLB. He has a great burst but he may burn it up getting by the tackle and not make it to the QB in time. I will wait until after his pro day but think he merits major consideration.
He would be a major asset off of the line as a 4th D-Lineman in a hybrid set.

Damn
That first step is insanely fast. It seems like most of the highlights here came on broken plays though, I’d like to see an entire game of him before I could really make a judgment.
