Joe Philbin or Mike McCoy.

According to Adam Schefter, Stephen Ross wants Philbin, Jeff Ireland wants McCoy. If we hire McCoy, and don't trade up for RGIII, I officially want Ireland to be fired! I like the idea of hiring Philbin, and possibly bringing in Matt Flynn to be our QB (If we aren't going to trade up for RGIII).

This all just freakin rumors that they make up

Doubt they would be this torn on the direction of the franchise. Remember all the crap on Fisher: Fisher is torn, he’s leaning towards the Dolphins, the helicopter “wowed” him.

Then they said Peterson and Ireland were battling and whoever got the HC would be hired, but Peterson was just a consultant the whole time!

Schefter also got called out by Colts owner Irsay for saying the Colts tried to hire Patriots director of player personnel . Irsay said

"Adam, don’t say I wanted to hire someone I never talked to or met .. MISLEADING .. come on, your better than that .. get your head in the game, son!"

I don’t believe this one bit unless multiple sources come out saying this. I think they’re taking their time between these 2 candidates and might actually hire one tomorrow.

Matt Flynn...

Has one ~~good.~~ AMAZING game, with a bunch of super star receivers. I think it may be a bit too early to start pinning him as “the guy”. Unless you want to take a gamble (granted… it would be a very educated gamble, but still its a gamble) on a relatively unknown commodity… Then again, anyone we bring in from the draft would be a gamble too.

I don’t know what it is about the guy, but Matt Moore has made me a believer. I think he has the potential to do really well given some solid pieces around him. shrug

If we sign Flynn, there will be no "battle"

Flynn is going to get a big contract, somewhere in the neighborhood of what Kolb got. If we sign him, he becomes the starter simply due to the contract. Moore will be the backup and Feeley 2.0 will be your starter. Can you say 8-8?

Lets be honest here ...

Matt Flynn threw the ball 44 times to a 15-1 team… what kind of numbers would you expect him to put up in that situation? We have 2 games to judge Matt Flynn by… and he was a 7th round pick. How is he for sure so much better than Matt Moore?

We had [Brady] down… but we didn’t kick him. We helped him up and gave him a PowerPuff Girls band-aid for his knee. What exactly did you expect would happen when we did that?

Did we win games with him at QB? Yes, but he constantly made poor decisions. Obvious ones at that. If we won a few games under Henne then everybody would be saying that Henne really grew up this year and deserves another year as the starter. Just bring in more competition for him. This is the same line of thinking that has made this team horrible for so long. You have to be prepared to take risks if you want to achieve greatness, take a shot on Flynn or trade up the draft, you’ve got to pick one.
