Mosul's 2012 NFL Draft Big Board
I won't pretend like this is perfect. I won't even pretend like this is close. I'm not the best scout of college football (mostly because I don't watch nearly enough), but here is my first big board of the season. Let me know what you think in the comments, and tell me if someone is too high, too low, or should be on the big board but isn't.

Richardson at 3?
That’s the biggest shock to me. I wouldn’t have him above 15, personally.
Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
I would at least swap Richardson and Blackmon.
And I would personally have RGIII at 3.
I think Mel Kiper has RG3 at 6...
I too am surprised at how highly ranked Richardson is in general (not just here). I feel like last year people went to great lengths to explain why a running back should not even be considered inthe top 10. Maybe that was soley becuase of Ingram and what he was valued at or that RBs just arent that good of an investment so early anymore. I dont know..

God I hope we can knock the Jets out of the playoffs, I couldn't imagine despising a team and fan base more.
Go Dolphins!

RBs just aren't valued as high as they used to be
You can get an effective back later in the draft. Finding an elite QB is a much higher priority than finding an elite rusher.
The 2011 season is a prime example of that. Of the top 25 rushers this year, only 8 made the playoffs (two were on the same team). Of the top 15 QBs in terms of rating, 9 made the playoffs. The top 6 rushers were drafted after the first round.

I'd be curious to find out why.
Is it because of talent or because he’s a RB? Talent wise, Richardson is absolutely one of the best players in the draft.

You did a really good job...these are always open to debate
I’d put RG3 higher though…if he wanted to be drafted as a running back, he’d probably be the 4th or 5th best RB prospect out there even with no RB experience…just based on athletic talent

I would swap Richardson and Blackmon. Other than that it looks good.

REALLY???? This is a joke of a draft board!
How on earth can we take this seriously? There isn’t a kicker or punter in sight. How do you expect Soprano to salivate over the prospect of a new team with no new kicker to look forward to on draft day? Disgraceful!

He could always trade a 1st and 3rd for Fields.
Then we could package those up for RGIII.
In fact, I kind of hope that happens. Who needs a punter if you have RGIII?
Ugh!
Can we PLEASE throw Colombo in the package deal? For FREE! I’ll sweeten the pot even more and but him a foam hand for fist pumping!

Hmmmmm...
And a foam foot for Rex….
But that’ll cost him a first round pick for next year.

Don't'a Hightower
I can’t believe he’s so low. I’m being biased, as I’m an Alabama Crimson Tide fan and have been since the time Saben took over. But Hightower has consistently been a solid-great LB overshadowed by McClain and now Upshaw. However, I’d love to see Hightower slip down to us in the second round! What a steal that’d be!

Very much so
What’s not to like about a great college football coach? I love the play hard defense and run the ball down the opposing defenses throat.
Yeah I realize he came to Miami for one year and then split. So what? At least he got out sooner than later! At least he didn’t stick around even when his heart wasn’t in the NFL. I respect Saben for what he’s done. Lets face it, a Nick Saben coached team, is well disciplined, plays great defense, and can run the ball. Even when Richardson leaves (this or next year), Lacy is sitting there chomping at the bit to perform and step up. Alabama/Nick Saben will be tough to beat for a long time coming.
Oh and to hell with the closed mind folks, like AnishB15, wild zion beaver, and joel311. Don’t like my opinion? Awesome, move on. Don’t insult me with religious/gay slurs that are the furthest from the truth just because you disagree. Drop the potato chip bag, and can of soda and go outside and workout since obviously you three have way too much time on your hands.
I wouldn't put Richardson any higher than 10
Probably not 15. Justin Blackmon is definitely in my top 5, I think that guy’s as NFL ready as I’ve seen a receiver in a long time.

Usee we can fately trade down twice, & pick up a extra #1 & #3 next year. Get an extra #2 & #4 this year!
Still com away with “one of the better LBers” in the draft!
