Sports Illustrated Mock Draft - Post-BCS Edition
Andrew Perloff from SI.com posted an updated mock draft today, updating with everyone who has decided to stay in school, such as Oklahoma's Landry Jones and USC's Matt Barkley.
Perloff has Andrew Luck going number one to the Indianapolis Colts, followed by the Cleveland Browns trading with the St. Louis Rams to get the second overall pick, and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
So, where does that leave the Miami Dolphins? Perloff has Miami turning to their defense with the ninth overall choice, selecting North Carolina Tar Heels linebacker Zach Brown. Says Perloff of the pick:
"Lots of questions still remain about what systems the Dolphins will be using next season, given their unsettled coaching situation. Brown is the best 4-3 outside linebacker in the draft and would help take some pressure off Cameron Wake."
Make sure you check out the rest of Perloff's Post-BCS Championship Mock Draft.

On the weakside, yes
If we’re going to use the No.8 or 9 pick on a linebacker, it should be Luke Kuechly. He’s a taller, faster Zach Thomas with sick instincts and the versatility to play the mike or will spot. He and Te’o were slated to be the two best linebackers in this draft before Te’o decided he wanted to back and play on a floundering
Zach Brown is ridiculously fast for a linebacker, though.
Riley Reiff, Jonathan Martin or Courtney Upshaw in the first round; Nick Foles or Ryan Tannehill in the second round.

I really do not want to go o-line with our first pick
I would rather get Upshaw

I Say
bite the bullet, go RT. If wet get a shiny new QBIII, I mean… QB, we wanna protect him and keep him healthy while he acclimated and learns to decimate. If we keep Moore, he’d benefit from not being chased all Sunday from the right side while frantically searching for BM (who is probably creating new routes to tweet about to Cutler).
And

Personally, I'd go with Kahlil
over automatically going with Jerry. Jerry was adequate, Kahlil has been described (in the previous draft post) as the only Tackle in the draft with no flaws to his game. With him on one side, Long on the other and Pouncey in the middle, that’s one hell of a line. Maybe play around with Jerry as RG or strong depth at both OT positions. Either way, that’s a line that can make a QB look spectacular. We are always envious of the time Brady usually has in the pocket, this move would give us the same.

And
for goodness sake, leave the defensive scheme alone! New pieces, yes. New scheme or coordinator…. no no NO! Just as trans were recovering from the lockout and supposedly gelling offensive pieces, our defense became a terror. It ain’t broke, quit looking for ways to break it!
(this means YOU, Fisher, and your 4-3 ideas).

I see him as an old coach stuck in his ways. He'd change us over, I'm sure.

I believe if we hire Fisher, Nolan is gone.
He has done wonders with our D and I hope we get a coach who leaves both coordinators in place. The most tweaking we need is effective touchdown plays inside that 3-10 yard range.

Now this has a realistic tone to it, we had a "game plan a few years back" that did this same very thing!

Draft Zach Brown!!
Brown would be a beast at OLB for Miami! He runs a 4.48 40 yard dash!
If can't get RGIII in the draft Zach Brown was a excelent pick
Moore could be the starter for next year, and meybe resign Henne with 1 or 2 year contract could be a good move to.
Inclusive Delvin with 1 year in PS could have an oportunity next year.
Other option could be trade down and get Tannehill or Foles in later 1st or 2nd round… inclusive Weeden in 3rd round, I like Weeden he only falls in draft order because his age, but he looks like a PlugAndPlay Ready QB, I think he could be an improve over Moore and Henne.
This is the dumbest draft I have seen yet.
I am in no way convinced that Cleveland takes a QB, but trading up 2 spots to do it? That’s just ridiculous.
I listen to the Dan Patrick show daily
and can honestly say that Andrew Perloff (aka McLovin) does not impress me with his ability to judge talent in Football.

Win for pride, Win for us fans!
God I hope we can knock the Jets out of the playoffs, I couldn't imagine despising a team and fan base more.
Go Dolphins!
